Cast your mind back to the surreal year that was 2016. It was the same year two friends from South London took their love for the great British pub and gave it a refresh. After asking themselves what it meant to be a boozer in today’s London, with its mix of ideas and cultures, the boys stripped it back to the basics. Simple food, done well, good music tastefully chosen, and a vibrant atmosphere shared with friends. Just some of the things that make a local, a local.
parlez is a place where the neighbourhood comes together. Our belief is built around being good to yourself and not taking life too seriously. From the familiar faces, to the art on the walls, to the fresh food coming out of the kitchen; your eyes, ears, and nose all experience a tickle. You can look forward to seasonal ingredients, a well-sourced drinks menu, and sensible prices.
parlez enjoys an independent spirit and shares with the community. Relax in comfortable surroundings with good food and familiar faces. With nods to the classic French bistro and Scandi touches, love for live music and colourful artwork hanging from the walls, we’re a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Think local and encourage a healthier look at life. Surely everyone deserves a place to eat, rest, and play?
South London has a lot to shout about when it comes to creativity and the underdog spirit. We’re proud to be part of a neighbourhood that supports independents, and we’re lucky to be able to work with utterly fantastic people, who do utterly brilliant things. Here’s a few of our favorite folks who make us proud to be SE.
